Where Communities Take Shape
Every project Cornerstone builds is rooted in the people it serves.
Before construction begins, we work alongside owners, designers, and community stakeholders to plan facilities that support daily life, critical services, and long-term use. Through thoughtful pre-development and preconstruction, we help create spaces that function well, endure over time, and positively impact the communities around them.

HOW WE WORK
Pre-development &
Early planning
This is where alignment begins.
Cornerstone partners with owners early—often before design is complete—to help shape projects that respond to real needs. By bringing construction insight into early conversations, we help clarify priorities, evaluate options, and identify risks that could affect cost, schedule, and the people who will ultimately use the space.
Our role during this phase is to listen, advise, and help establish a clear path forward.
Services Include:
- Feasibility studies and site evaluation
- Conditions assessments
- Delivery method analysis
- Risk identification and mitigation planning
- Civil, site, and utilities review
- Site options and scenario analysis
- Early cost modeling and budget validation
PREConstruction
Preconstruction is where vision becomes workable.
Cornerstone collaborates closely with owners and design teams to ensure facilities are thoughtfully planned, buildable, and responsive to both program needs and long-term use. How We Work
Our work is guided by respect—for clients, trade partners, and the people who use the buildings we construct. Subcontractor selection is transparent and based on quality, performance, and value. As a 100% Alaskan owned and staffed general contractor, Cornerstone is proud to build spaces that support healthcare, education, government, housing, and industry across the state—strengthening communities one project at a time.
